If you want to sell, don’t sell.

Yup. You read that right.

Now, it obviously looks like I’m contradicting myself, so I’m going to explain what I mean.

“FREE PROMO! LIMITED TIME OFFER! ONE-TIME TRIAL!”

That’s being salesy. People aren’t going to buy from you because of a random free trial you’re doing.

Honestly? No one cares.

“So, if the best way to sell a product isn’t to sell, then what is?”

The problem most businesses have is that they sell products everyone else is selling.

And especially in a market where the targets are constantly bombarded by the same pitches from practically the same businesses, why should they care about what YOU are doing?

Well, let’s give them a reason to care-

By leveraging your unique mechanism.

MD Beverly Hills is an agency in the health sector, and now they’re selling wrinkle-removal cream.

Now, there’s got to be a ton of other people doing the exact same thing, but notice how BH manages to come off as unique.

Do you see it?

They’re not just telling you, “This moisturizer will get rid of all your wrinkles!”

Their showing you the reason for wrinkles in the first place, which is lack of collagen.

And the sunscreen/moisturizer helps the body produce more collagen, thus reducing wrinkles.

It’s genius, because it’s not only educational, but places your product as the one true solution to the problem. No one else matters.

That’s the power a unique mechanism.

Instead of just making claims that your program/product works, show them the reason why it works.

Show, not tell.

Doing this forces your target to think, “Huh, that actually makes sense, why don’t I check out what this guy’s about”.

Instead of the target just swiping past because he just registered it in the ‘ad’ part of his brain.

If you really want to bring in the cash from your course or programs, don’t sell.

Use your unique mechanism, build credibility and a brand, and more people will naturally want to do business with you.
