I Made $448.74 on Medium in My First Month — Here Are My 3 Rules:

Making over $450 in my first month on Medium is way more than I had originally expected when starting on the platform.

All I wanted to do was provide value to other readers on Medium, and yet money has been a by-product of the value I have provided.

I am incredibly grateful for this, so I’ve decided to list the 3 rules that I always followed on Medium for my first 30 days of writing.

Let’s get straight into it:

My weekends are super busy. I have a video editing client who I work with on either Saturday or Sunday, and the weekend is the only time of the week when I get to spend quality time with those around me.

So, how do I combat not being able to write on weekends?

I create all my content one day in advance.

So for example, all my posts for Thursday have already been completed by Wednesday morning.

On Friday, I write my content for Saturday, then write my content for Sunday after the gym on Friday.

So yes, Friday can be a long day of writing, but I prepare in advance to cover myself for Saturday.

Don’t confuse this with thinking negatively, it certainly wasn’t like that.

I always manifested my earnings and results on Medium, but I was always prepared for my post to flop and for nobody to read it.

That way, it allows for a stoic mindset that makes me move onto the next article without being too hurt about views and reads.

Some of my articles have done pretty bad, but I never used this as an excuse, because you never know what your next article can provide.
