How to ACTUALLY Get Started (with just about anything)

The beginning of anything is an exciting, scary, confusing, and incredibly important time. It helps to have a roadmap and a set of tools to fall back on to help you avoid pitfalls, ruts, and booby-traps on the road to success however you define it.

This is a living post to serve as a roadmap to get you from zero to 1, no matter where your starting line is.

If you Google “how to get started” you’re sure to find all kinds of advice, most of which will have in big bold letters “FIND YOUR WHY”. I’m writing this because that didn’t work for me. It’s great advice on sustaining something that’s already going, but for those of us truly at square one, it lacks nuance.

After swimming around in circles obsessing about why I truly wanted to do something, I picked something. And I was wrong.
