Being ripped off may not be criminal, but it’s not fun.

Most people in the United States could probably remember a time when they were ripped off by some business. Some industries have a worse reputation for ripping people off than others.

The internet regularly puts out all kinds of lists as information or warning to people. A list which was provided by Critical Finance listed types of companies that are known for ripping off American consumers.

Their list included: Cable companies, Electronics companies, Airlines, Diamond industry, Auto repair shops and car mechanics, Flight websites, Credit report scams, For profit schools, Multi-level marketing (MLM) companies, Big banks, Funeral homes, Credit card companies, Extended warranties, Health insurers, Car Dealerships, Pharmaceutical companies, and Telecommunications companies.

Many or most Americans have likely been ripped off by some businesses in the above categories. There are some horror stories about the experiences people have had. Some of the rip offs are well known.

Some of those businesses are necessary and cannot be avoided. Being ripped off may be something that is hard to prevent.

Critical Financial was founded in 2012. They offer the public daily trends, consumer advice, and informative top 10 (or other amounts) lists to inform and entertain. [Website: https://www.criticalfinancial.com/]

Consumers have to be vigilant and careful when dealing with companies offering services. It is not always easy to tell that you are being ripped off until it has actually happened. It is a way of cheating people for gain. It is not a fair practice.

It is not something people want to happen. Everyone wants a fair deal in life. That does not always occur.
