About me- Constantie Botov

From a professional musician to an successful marketer on 19 years, is a long story…

My name is Constantine Botov, recently turned 19 years old. Born in Bulgaria — a country filled with lush landscapes and unique natural beauty, yet sadly, it remains relatively unknown on the European stage. Despite this, the Bulgarian society is composed of a variety of people whose cultural and intellectual contributions are often overshadowed by negative stereotypes and clichés. The common perceptions of Bulgarians as “uneducated” and “rude,” or as a “thieving and corrupt people,” represent a biased interpretation that I strongly challenge.

Unveiling the Other Side of Bulgaria

The truth is that every coin has two sides. I am fascinated by the other side of the Bulgarian coin — where chaos hides the potential for order and where crisis moments provoke intellectual awakening and social transformation. The change I aspire to is not just behavioral change but a rethinking of responsibility as a fundamental element of our personal and collective identity.

The Dichotomy of Public Perception in Bulgaria

In my view, responsibility is not just a duty or obligation; it is a moral imperative that manifests in various forms — from daily self-discipline rituals to global commitments to social justice. In this context, responsibility transcends ordinary normativity and acquires the qualities of a philosophical concept, requiring constant reflection and self-awareness.

Defining Personal Responsibility

Moreover, the second essential foundation of my philosophical framework is the pursuit of truth — not as an abstract ideal but as a continual quest for knowledge. I live in a society shrouded in “mists” of half-truths and manipulations, which demands not only critical thinking but also a readiness for intellectual bravery. The principles I uphold are not just moral pillars but criteria for truthfulness, through which every thought and action I take is evaluated.

The Pursuit of Truth

These fundamental beliefs guide my publications and ideas that I present here on Medium, as well as in every other sphere of my life.

I am committed to offering objective analyses and formulating reflections that not only enlighten but also challenge our established perceptions.

Overcoming Prejudices through Music and Education

The first thought that might cross your mind when reading my texts is doubt: “He is so young, what does he know about the topics he discusses?” It’s simple, but first, let me tell you a little about my background. I graduated from a music school in Sofia, specializing in viola. My journey as a musician has been long, undergoing professional training that shaped me into a professional violist.

Disciplined Beginnings in Music and Education

I have participated in dozens of competitions, master classes, productions, and more, working hard for 12 years, building the discipline I still use today. Imagine, since the first grade at a very young age, I was taught to be disciplined, practicing the viola for at least two hours every day.

Additionally, in later grades, I started other mandatory subjects such as piano, orchestral playing, chamber ensembles, and more. All this required structuring, time management, problem analysis, and working methods initially taught by teachers, which I later developed further.

This strict education allowed me to develop deep skills in structuring and analysis, which later proved critical at every subsequent step of my professional life.

Sports and Personal Development

During my teenage years, I mainly focused on sports, starting with football and then moving on to years of regular training in boxing, MMA, jiu-jitsu, among others. In the last year, I’ve been combining everything that entertains me, and a few months ago, I even started playing tennis. But what does all this have to do with my professional experience? Since I developed skills from a young age that most people never develop even in their lifetime, I decided to channel all this energy towards new horizons.

Transition to Economics and Digital Exploration

Once I began to take an interest in economics, I realized how unprofitable the orchestral model is. I started thinking about investment sectors. Why do musicians in Bulgaria earn only $300–400 to $500–600 average salary for the years 2023–2024? I began to track the flow of money, understood how the economy functions, and specifically why the salaries are so low for the unaccounted hours of work and effort. This led me to change my professional goals. Already in 8th grade, I began reading about finance, businesses, and more.

From Blogging to Web Design: A Journey through the Digital World

I turned my attention to the digital world. I created a blog, “Amateur Photography,” where I combined my passion for photography with a desire to explore the digital world more deeply. This blog became a place where I shared not just photos, but also articles. I began to study various websites, their designs, and ways to apply them, gradually focusing on discovering methods to make my page reach more people. This adventure naturally evolved into creating a freelance business for making websites with a friend. We offered the market quality services at competitive prices, working on projects ranging from car dealerships to political campaigns. This allowed us to focus on the design and texts that led to real results for clients, rather than just offering expensive digital business cards.

Marketing Revelations and Entrepreneurial Ventures

Our portfolio was diverse, covering everything from car dealerships to accounting firms, from small businesses to political campaigns and websites. However, one thought constantly shone in my mind — the desire to achieve better results for our clients. With this in mind, we turned to marketing, where new challenges and revelations awaited us. We read countless textbooks, attended seminars and training sessions, only to realize that marketing is nonsense. WAIT, WAIT, what did you say?

Realizations and Shifts in Marketing Strategy

Let me clarify — marketing in theory is often presented as mathematics, but that is far from the truth. In reality, only 5% of marketing involves pure mathematics — these are the moments when we calculate results, ROI, conversion, and other key parameters. The rest of marketing requires creative and strategic thinking outside the traditional frameworks. The good marketer is everything — an economist, mathematician, psychologist, philosopher, salesperson, and thief, poor and rich, a researcher and a coward, but most importantly, a person. This is the portrait of a good marketer. But where was I before I realized all this and became this person?

Launching ENIGMA: Innovating on Instagram

We launched “ENIGMA,” the first Instagram profile of its kind in Bulgaria, which remains active today. This project, born in response to the burgeoning influence of AI technologies, combined several content automation tools. What we created was simple visually but revolutionary in terms of wording and marketing strategy — a true masterpiece. Inspired by prominent figures like Andrew Tate, who dominated media narratives, we began to unveil the truths behind their words, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking. Within just a month and a half, our profile attracted 80,000 followers. However, it was unexpectedly shadow banned, drastically reducing its visibility.

Despite our efforts to salvage the project, we gradually began losing followers. At the height of these events, we launched our first digital product, which supported our subsequent ventures, thanks to an audience that valued our authenticity.

What happened next? We established a marketing agency. By then, we knew everything there was to know about marketing — click here, do this, write scripts, garner likes, saves… Marketing was entirely focused on INSTAGRAM.

Challenges and Triumphs in Marketing

Our first client was a small neighborhood jewelry store in need of a graphic designer and marketing team. We began confidently. We scripted, filmed, and uploaded videos, and then we waited to witness the outcome. This time, views weren’t in the millions; they were merely around one hundred. How was this possible? Weren’t we skilled? Yes, but no, we overlooked key elements that had made our first venture successful. We had forgotten to dedicate days to think deeply about the project — to discuss, segment audiences, and craft content and profiles.

Our arrogance led to initial declines in sales. We decided to reevaluate and refine our strategies. We sought guidance from mentors, two well-regarded marketers whose expertise could not be confined to a simple bookshelf. After several meetings, they transformed our understanding of marketing.

We then applied what we had learned; within months, we doubled our previous monthly sales, turning budgets of $100 into $5,000 profits. Consider that each jewelry item was priced between $25 and $70. Our strategies continued to prove successful, generating substantial monthly revenue. What did we learn? That story is for another article.

How did we continue?

We attracted a plethora of new clients — from educational institutions to private fitness centers and cargo companies. Our strategies demonstrated flawless effectiveness, and success swiftly followed. Amidst this dynamic workflow, one of our clients, the owner of an IoT device company, suggested we establish “THE REAL” marketing agency. Why “THE REAL”? This agency wouldn’t settle for superficial metrics but would delve deep into each business’s core to elevate it to the pinnacle.

Philosophy of Honest Marketing and Client Relationships

Our disdain for superficial marketing? The reason is simple — every client we’ve had previously went through agencies that artificially inflated their profiles with bots and fake metrics, which greatly complicated our work. Our goal was, and still is, to provide sustainable and long-term results. At our first meeting as co-founders, after signing with my best friend from day one, I told the entire team: “Remember, every boss who turns to us, and every businessman we collaborate with, has a family and dreams. The fastest way to destroy what they’ve built is by offering them short-term, unsustainable marketing strategies.”

Without exaggeration, our clients have been so impressed by our proposals and presentations for their business that they have reacted with tears of joy, realizing that they have finally found hope and a new perspective for their businesses.

A Broad Skillset: Embracing New Challenges

When it comes to my skills, the scope is extremely wide — from working with Photoshop Illustrator and Figma to managing complex 3D software and virtual machines, as well as video processing programs and automation systems. In a word, there is no field I cannot master as I continue to seek new knowledge and challenges.

This approach to writing adds depth and context to the description of your career and highlights the importance of continuous learning and adaptation.

My Medium Goals

My goal is singular — to help people understand the full picture of the digital world, to search for fogs and darkness where I can bring light, to unravel topics and problems, to share my experience and the knowledge of the hundreds of individuals who have helped me reach this experience.

Personal Life

Personally, I am a man without minuses, as my friends say. I do not smoke, do not drink, do not spend 10 hours in front of the phone, I exercise, I have discipline and habits. I have gone through many failed relationships because playing a lot as a child and the lack of social contacts led me to withdraw from social norms, and I lost what “my mates understand cool.” Subsequently, I set about working on my communication skills and relationships with people, went through betrayals, friendships, unsuccessful relationships, and much more that surely awaits me, but I have no intention of repeating the failures of my past. I have a stable relationship with my girlfriend of a year and a half and a stable circle of friends who share my interests. In my free time, I strive to work on myself — some might say these are the marks of a workaholic, but I am an extremely ambitious and principled person in both personal and work plans. I believe that true happiness lies in becoming a better version of yourself and going through as many difficulties as possible. I believe that happiness is where there is no sorrow, where the heart wants to be.

Unique Traits

At the moment, I can call a hobby all the sports that I train. Whenever I have some free time, I desire to start a new hobby, specifically making chocolate truffles, but for now, my new hobby is writing on Medium. The moment I make a good truffle, I will pass the knowledge on to my future followers. The philosophy of my life is understood in the lines above.

Writing Interests

My favorite topics to write about are many — all those to which I’ve found the truth, all that I’ve applied and tested in practice, all that I know will help people. More specifically, my interests and the topics I will cover are in the areas of the digital world, technology, business, and personal development.

Online Safety

From a security perspective, I will not cite specific names, projects, personal assets, or data. I will avoid specifics related to my personal plan, as in the few years I have been involved in and interested in ethical hacking, I have discovered how easily some people can piece together the puzzle even from the most general information. The digital world is extremely dangerous, especially with the emergence of artificial intelligence without any entry barriers to its use. Extremely dangerous times lie ahead, and digital hygiene is extremely important.
